Dr. Bittings has been providing expert eye care to Carroll County for almost 20 years. Prior to this, he was a Research Fellow at the National Institutes of Health – Gerontology Research Center. He holds degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology as well as Vision Science. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1995. He is a member of the American Optometric Society and is Board Certified by both the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and the American Board of Clinical Optometry. Dr Bittings diagnoses and treats eye disease as well as providing Emergency Eye Care, Primary Eye Care, Specialty Contact Lenses and Low Vision exams. His eye exams are comprehensive and utilize the latest technology. Born and raised in Maryland, he is a caring and compassionate doctor.
